Fenofibrate
Fenofibrate (CAS: 49562-28-9) is a fibric acid derivative supplied as a white to off-white crystalline powder, practically insoluble in water.

• Lipid-lowering therapy: the active ingredient in oral fenofibrate formulations for hypertriglyceridaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia.
• PPAR alpha pharmacology: used as a reference agonist in metabolic and cardiovascular research.
• Formulation development: micronised and nanocrystal grades are used to improve oral bioavailability.
• Analytical and reference standards: supplied as pharmacopoeial reference material for assay and impurity testing.
